Full course description
This course is specifically designed for law enforcement personnel to learn how to respond effectively to a dementia-related situation. Areas of focus include general considerations for interacting with persons with dementia, the importance of attitude and an understanding of dementia in promoting positive response techniques, advice on using body language when communicating with persons with dementia, and the value of an approach focused on de-escalation.
